India: What is the BIS approval process and rule for TWS Earbuds?

The TWS Earbuds product falls into two BIS certification categories:

1. Power Bank (the charging case)

2. Wireless Earphone (earbuds)

And there are 4 items need to get BIS certificate and must follow the sequence:

A. The battery Cell used for Charging case and Earbud: first BIS

B. Battery used for charging case and earbud: second BIS

>>Please note: If B already certified by BIS then no need to reapply for A and B

C. Charging case: third BIS

D. Earbud: fourth BIS

The reason it has to follow the sequence is due to the critical component’s approval rule.
