With the updates to the National Frequency Allocation Plan in 2023, the Indonesian Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure has announced the implementation of Ministerial Decree No. 13 of 2025, which establishes overseas testing laboratories for telecommunication equipment certification. This decree was set on January 15, 2025, and is valid from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026. This new regulation replaces and revokes Director General SDPPI Decree No. 109 of 2024, which is no longer valid, providing manufacturers with a clearer compliance framework.
Decree Details:
Under Ministerial Decree No. 13, Indonesia will establish overseas testing laboratories to expedite the certification process for telecommunication equipment.
Validity Period:
The decree is effective from January 1, 2025, until December 31, 2026, offering manufacturers a two-year adaptation period.
Replacement of Old Decree:
This new regulation replaces the previous Decree No. 109 of 2024, strengthening regulatory oversight on telecommunication equipment.
